Tom was born and raised in East Jordan, Michigan with four other siblings. Like most small towns, there was little to do socially, so he grew up playing baseball, football, basketball, and listening to a wide range of music.
Tom's first musical influences were bluegrass and country music. His dad played guitar in a bluegrass band and it was on his guitar that Tom strummed his first chord. At age fourteen, Tom bought his own guitar with the money he earned helping cut firewood. Time went by and he was introduced to several different styles of music which inspired him to keep progressing towards his present day versatility. From good ole' rock-n-roll to early Hank, it all fuels his inner passion to make music.
Tom now lives in Charlevoix, MI. with his wife, son, and two daughters. In his free time he enjoys pretty much anything to do with the out-of-doors. Tom spends his free time camping, hunting, hiking, coaching, boating, and of course, playing music.
